Fiat's new saloon model has been revealed

A prototype Fiat vehicle was spied testing a number of days ago under some heavy disguise. The belief was that the car was the next addition into the brands saloon range and today we have had that news confirmed in Istanbul as the Italian auto maker revealed the brand new Aegea. With the reveal of the car also came the news that the model will go on sale across a total of forty car markets with its sales beginning from this coming November. Fiat also revealed that we will be seeing both an estate and a hatchback version of the car go on sale also from next year also. Fiat announced that two multi-jet diesel engines will be on offer with the range aswell as two petrol options. Delivered power from these engines will kick off from 94 brake horse and will increase to 118 bhp varying on which engine you decide to spend your money on.

What gadgets can you expect to find in the new Fiat saloon?

Along with these engine options, the Italian's also confirmed some brand new gadgets that will come along with the new car which display some excellent technology. The likes of features such as Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a multi functioning steering wheel will also make up for one of the big highlights to be found inside of the car. Fiat will also offer optional extras such as a rear view parking camera and we can also find a TomTom sat nav also.

The new model has been confirmed to be built in Turkey and we know that the Turkish market and the United States are expected to be two of the biggest selling countries for the new car.

Further developments on the Fiat Aegea

Sadly the decision to bring the car to the United Kingdom has not been made as of yet so there is no certainty that we will see the car here. Another note worth featuring also is that when the car does go on sale across these markets, the name Aegea is going to be dropped as it is just the name being used during the development phase. No comment has been made on what the official production version of the car will be called. We do know that the saloon will have the likes of the S3 from Audi and the Honda Accord in its sights when it tries to reach the top of the saloon selling market.
