The Peugeot 308 RCZ offering something a little different

The Peugeot 308 RCZ is a unique vehicle which boats some new styling designs and an overall driving experience quite different from the 308 standard family vehicle

The RCZ originally began its life as a concept vehicle in 2007 and was designed to see the kind of reaction from fans. Considering the car is now produced, the response to the concept version was positive. Peugeot RCZ

Three years later, we saw the car go on sale in 2010, and even now, five years later, the car remains a popular choice around the world. So what is it about the RCZ that is so different, and what are the main areas that have brought success for the car?.

The best features of the Peugeot 308 RCZ

The big thing that is noticeable when it comes to the car is the unique styling design that it carries. The car is one of the sleekest looking vehicles that the company offers, with an extended sloping windscreen coming off the sloped roof and, of course, the bonnet, which shares the same styling. All of these components make it suitable for a quicker driving experience and more agility.

To carry on with great looks, the RCZ also carries a rear spoiler, a dual exhaust system and multiple designs when it comes to the alloy wheels. Peugeot also keeps the RCZ up to date with the latest in LED lighting technology.

Performance is also a key focus point for the redesigned 308 with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines. Petrol is favoured in the range with three to choose from whilst there is just one diesel option.

The French manufacturer has also attempted to smooth the driving experience by offering both manual and automatic transmissions. We also see that the car's suspension system has also received adjustments to make it lower in riding height.

The brand also made all the right moves when it comes down to equipment levels with the car with some key features, including a system that monitors the tyres' inflation, heated leather seating, a built-in sat-nav system, and Bluetooth connectivity which come along as standard.

What does the Peugeot 308 RCZ cost?

Peugeot sells the 308 RCZ from a figure of £22,350 for the Coupe Sport model. You can, however, opt-in for the GT version of the car for a cost of £24,750. Visit your local Peugeot dealership to check out the fantastic vehicle. It is undoubtedly a great alternative to the Volkswagen Scirocco and the Renault Megane Sports models.
