The BMW X2 is a go-The final edition Evo X not for the UK-Skoda's new suv

It is safe to say now that the Nurburgring is the place to be when it comes to seeing a brand new car before it launches. Over the years we have seen countless brand new cars taking their victory lap around the track and the latest in line to be seen doing this was of course the new suv model from Czech firm Skoda. The brand will launch their new suv onto the market next year and it was this week that the car was spotted completely undisguised making its way around the famous track. Skoda have not given a name as of yet for the new model but we know that both five and the larger seven seat versions of the car will go on sale from launch. Volkswagen's MQB platform technology will also take its place of pride inside of the new car. The biggest features that we do however know are that hybrid technology will be offered and a new 1.6 litre turbo diesel setup which can also be found in the brands Superb model will also go on offer as the main standout engine. Skoda also confirmed that buyers will be faced with the choice of either front wheel drive or all wheel drive platforms too. We are looking forward to seeing more of the brands new addition in the near future.

No Evo X final edition for the United Kingdom

It is to be the end of an era for Mitsubishi as they stop the production of their Lancer Evolution X model this year. In order to celebrate the huge achievements that the car had over its seven year life cycle, the brand behind its success said that they would be launching a special final edition of the model which would only be made available in one thousand units. It would boast more power with a turbocharged two litre setup underneath the bonnet. New features such as an updated suspension and new alloy wheel designs were also confirmed for the car. However, the brand have stated that these models are not making their way to the United Kingdom at all sadly. Many fans here in the UK were looking forward to purchasing one of these models but sadly it proved impossible to get any allocation of these units for the UK market it was said by the head of Mitsubishi UK, Lance Bradley. It certainly is goodbye to the Evolution X but it is a vehicle that will be remembered by fans world wide for many years to come.

Is a BMW X2 on its way to the UK?

The latest buzz around German car and motorcycle maker BMW is that they have reportedly been given the go ahead for the production of a new crossover vehicle in the future which will go under the badge of the 'X2' entering their X division line up. The new car would be the next addition into an ever growing segment of crossover models and there is high belief that we are going to see this new car launch on the streets of Britain in around two years time. According to inside sources, the prototype designs for the vehicle are being discussed and it is believed that features such as the driver train and electronic systems would carry over from the X1 model. Some interesting news indeed for BMW fans and we are anticipating more news on the future of this car very soon.
