The brand new Honda Jazz to brighten your Summer

The latest addition to Honda's Jazz range is all ready to go and will be launched onto the streets of the United Kingdom from this summer. As if the hot weather wasn't exciting enough, the new Jazz will look to brighten your summer even more.

The new model will be the third instalment into the Jazz range, which began production for the first time in June of 2001. Once again, the Jazz will join the Supermini segment as it looks to dethrone the Suzuki Swift and the Toyota Yaris. We have now seen the production-ready version of the car after it went on show underneath the bright lights of the Geneva Motor Show. Boasting new looks in design, more space inside of the vehicle and a whole host of new safety equipment, the brand new Jazz could very well turn out to be the best addition to the company range yet.

What brand new highlights do Honda bring to the Jazz       New Honda Jazz UK

We outlined above the new changes that have been made to the car, but let's go into detail. First up is the engine. Only one engine has been confirmed to be offered with the new vehicle, which means that underneath the bonnet rests a 1.3-litre engine in the i-VTEC form, which is paired up thanks to the manual six-speed gearbox to produce 102 brake horsepower. A CVT transmission is, however, available as an optional extra. The car's rear is more angular than previous models in the range. The height of the windows has also been lifted. Other features do carry over, though, which means that the windscreen and the front grille will look familiar to you.

New fittings inside of the car will also help boost sales. Chrome finishes are located in the cabin area, which now comes fitted with higher quality materials. The boat has also been pushed out with a five-inch infotainment screen for entry-level modes are seven-inch screens in top of the range editions. The new Jazz will also provide real-time traffic updates, updates on the weather and internet radio, all powered by Android connectivity.

Safety improves for the Honda Jazz.

The new generation of Honda Jazz is not just packing new looks and gadgets; the car has also been designed with the safety of its drivers and passengers in mind. Active city braking, a collision warning system, high beam assistance, a lane departure warning and a system that recognises traffic signs all come as a part of the standard Advanced driver-assist technology. We are waiting now to find out how much the car will cost.

The new Honda Jazz will be available from 2016 in the UK.
