The Alfa Romeo Mito taking comfort and technology to the next level

Alfa Romeo are a very classy brand when it comes to designing vehicles that boast good power, comfort and technology and the Mito model is one the best examples of the companies drive to succeed in the motor world. The Mito falls into the supermini segment but is actually classed as a luxury supermini. The car is known for giving out some of the best as far as technology is concerned and comfort much like we mentioned previously. The very first addition into the range was offered in 2007 and has won some awards over the years too including supermini of the year in 2010 and New car of the year in 2008. In our view, the Mito fits in nicely with what customers often look for in their car in this day and age. Smaller style city cars are all the rage these days as are suv's for good power and Alfa take the perfect combination of both with this model.

Engine range and specifications on sale for the Mito

Petrol wise, Alfa Romeo offer four engines in total for their range. A 1.4 petrol engine giving out 78bhp is your entry level petrol. Further down the line we see two Twin air engine one carrying 0.9 litres and the other at 1.4 litres. The 1.4 however is offered in two forms as far as power is concerned with 140 and the second at 170bhp. Two engines are offered for you diesel fans. Both a 1.3 and a 1.6 setup are available the 1.3 gives out 85 brake horse power but you do see a significant boost with the 1.6 coming in at 120bhp. In order to help fuel economy and efficiency all models whether it be petrol or diesel are all offered with stop start technology as standard.

What equipment you get with the car really depends on which particular trim level you decide to spend your money on. There are a total of four up for grabs with Progression being the entry level model and QV Line being the range topper. Fifteen inch alloy wheels, climate control a tyre pressure monitoring system,a multi functioning steering wheel and heated door mirrors are just some standard equipment offered. Further down the line with the Junior range this adds some highlights including fog lights, a sporty bumper at the back, seventeen inch alloy wheels,a White gearstick and a flat bottomed steering wheel in sports disguise. Cruise control, parking sensors and chrome exhausts aswell as aluminium designed foot pedals are all items including in the third range trim. The QV Line however will offer the likes of Quadrifoglio floor mats,a leather steering wheel in Black and gloss paint finishes for the front grille, mirrors and the door handles.

What cars rival the Alfa Romeo Mito?

Both the Nissan Juke and the likes of the Renault Captur can be considered to be top class competition for the Mito model but as far as the technology and comfort goes, we think Alfa could very well have the upper hand over any competition on the family hatchback market. The Mito is also reasonably priced with a starting figure of £12,670 and rising upwards to £16,820 for the top spec QV Line model.
