Mitsubishi reveal 2016 Outlander pricing

Mitsubishi have revealed the price tag that is going to come along with their brand new Outlander model aimed at the 2016 market but which will go on sale later on this year. The price tag for the car however has only been revealed for the American market with a figure of $22,995 which works out at around the £14,909 area here in the United Kingdom.

It would be expected that the price for the UK market would not alter too much compared to the American price so we now know roughly what kind of price margin we are dealing with when it comes to sales of the new Outlander here in Britain. If the price for the United States is anything to go by, we could end up paying less than what was charged for the 2015 variation all at the same time receiving more for our money.

What does the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander offer you for your money?    Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 new pricing

So when we speak of what kind of value for money this car offers you, there is a lot to go on so getting us underway is the engine and what rate of power you can expect to get from the new Outlander.

The car comes fitted with just one 2.4 litre petrol engine but it is matched up with a CVT transmission system which allows the engine to give out 166 brake horsepower. This is the only unit offered with the standard base model. Mitsubishi is offering the GT spec though which comes along with a three-litre, V6 sized engine that sees 224bhp delivered. A six-speed, automatic transmission however is offered with the GT spec. This version of the car also runs on an all-wheel-drive platform.

In terms of value for money, the new Outlander offers something very special in regards to extras and safety. LED lighting both at the front and back of the car, MP3 connectivity, automatic climate control as well as a colour LCD screen. Safety features such as adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning assistance are offered with the new Outlander as standard.

Why is the new Mitsubishi Outlander going so cheap?

Mitsubishi have revealed that they are selling the new Outlander model at a cheaper figure than the 2015 version as they would like to attract more buyers to the car and they would like to widen their market as far as their target audience is concerned. This is a win-win deal for both Mitsubishi and potential buyers as this could give the new model that added edge over competition from the Kia Sorento and the Toyota RAV4 just to name a few.

The American market would seem to agree with this approach as the latest sales figures indicate that the car has already sold more than double what it managed in 2015. The United Kingdom might not need these kinds of incentives however as the brand is very much on the up at present and other models such as the Lancer Evolution are selling really well.
