A car review of the Seat Ibiza

The all-new Seat Ibiza review

When we think of the Seat brand, two particular vehicles come to mind and they would be the Leon range and of course the Ibiza. These are two of the biggest selling vehicle ranges that the company has ever offered and for our car review today we are checking out the Ibiza model.

The Ibiza is one of the longest standing vehicles that the Spanish firm offer with offering this particular car since 1984. The car is still selling just as well today as it was then and we are now in the fourth generation of this particular model with the latest arriving on the road in 2008.

Seat offers a little something for everyone with their Ibiza range. There is a good selection of both petrol and diesel engines aswell as some of the best in technology and equipment. Today for our post, however, we have outlined some of our personal favorites to come along with the range which we think are some of the best selling points for the car and its trim levels. Key highlights and special features of the Seat Ibiza

The Ibiza falls into the supermini segment in the car world and when we think of some of the best supermini vehicles we have to think of the likes of the i20 range from Hyundai and the Peugeot 107. Both of these vehicles have given the Seat range a run for its money over the years but what special features have helped the Ibiza to remain a top contender on the market?. Engine wise, there are five petrol units on offer consisting of three 1.2 litre units and two 1.4 setups. These are all paired to a manual transmission but DSG automatic setup can however be chosen for the 1.2 TSI setup. Two 1.2 diesel units and one 1.6 TDI diesel are also on offer. The second 1.2 does however come in Ecomotive form.

When we cast our attention the extra equipment to come along with the range, this all really depends on which trim level you decide to spend your money on. Some of our personal highlights across the entire range though included the likes of climate control, cruise control, LED lighting, a rearview camera that comes along as optional extra, Bi-Xenon headlights, and Bluetooth connectivity also finds its place across the Ibiza range.

The price range of the Seat Ibiza  The Seat Ibiza

The Ibiza range kicks off with a price of £11,410 with the top of the range Cupra model coming in at £18,980. With prices like these coming into play with some great equipment and engine offerings on hand, we also see the Ibiza staying strong on the market alongside the likes of the Mito from Alfa Romeo and the Vauxhall Adam range as well as many more. The Spanish firm have done a great job of keeping the Ibiza a strong contender in the supermini segment and we look forward to plenty more years of success for a great car.
