As we are all aware the Coronavirus - Covid 19 Virus pandemic is impacting all walks of everyday life. Our company has to take decisions to maintain the safety of our staff whilst trying to ensure we provide as close to the standard of service we have always strived to give to all our customers.
With this in mind, from Monday 23rd March 2020, until further notice, we are enacting our business continuity plan reducing the amount of staff at our head office at Aequitas House in Birkenhead to a minimum. Only key staff required for the running of the business will be on site.
Non-essential staff, or where a staff can perform their duties remotely, will be asked to stay at home.
If you need to contact us then the telephone lines will be operational until further notice. Please note on the website for any changes in manned hours. Please understand that there could be some waiting period for calls to be answered with lower levels of staff in the building.
If your query is not urgent (eg it is a question about a vehicle you are due to collect in a few weeks, or it is a change of address for your policy) then please email us instead via the contact page or via email@example.com
We will have further staff, working from home, who will be able to answer your email queries.
Claims are not handled at our head office. The details of your claims team is on your policy documents. Please also click the ‘Make a claim’ page on our website for the correct claims team details.
The claims team for your policy will also endeavour to provide as good a service as possible at this difficult time. Please understand there may be delays, particularly on claims that require a cosmetic repair (alloy wheel, scratch and dent etc). The local repairer to you must be available and this cannot be guaranteed if they are not working due to illness, for example.
It is still important you lodge your claim in the normal manner. The claims team will be able to advise from that point on.
We hope that further action will not be necessary but we will keep you updated if anything else changes.
Aequitas Automotive Ltd has a strong financial base. We have no concerns over our abilities to get through this difficult period for us all financially. We just want to ensure that all our employees stay safe and they are perfectly well and able to come back to work normally when this crisis subsides.
