Compare Total Loss Gap

Gap Insurance | Alloy Wheel Insurance | Scratch & Dent Insurance | Tyre Insurance

We understand that you have to be 100% confident that any insurance policy you purchase, is the best one for you. Being part of Aequitas, we want you to know exactly what your policy will do, before you purchase any policy. We can do this as we are very proud of the policy features and the way in which they'll perform.

Gap Insurance | Key Features

  1. Combination Policy - If you have not taken the vehicle on a form of lease/contract hire agreement, you will have the option of selecting the Combined Return to Invoice & Vehicle Replacement Gap Insurance policy. Rather than you having to decide which one is best for you, we simply combine the two and pay whichever is the HIGHER should you need to make a claim.
  2. No Upper Claim Limit - Rather than you having to select an amount you may need, in the event of a total loss, we simply bridge the gap whatever that amount should be.
  3. £250 Excess Contribution - No excess for you to pay if you need to make a claim, instead we pay the first £250 towards your own motor insurance excess.
  4. Fully Transferable - If you change the vehicle slightly earlier than expected, you have the option of transfering your policy over to your next eligible vehicle completely free of charge.

Alloy Wheel Insurance | Key Features

  1. Diamond Cut/Laser Cut/Painted & Standard Wheels Covered - Diamond cut wheels are becoming more and more prominent, this policy is a specialist policy that will cover all of the above.
  2. £150 Replacement Contribution - If the wheel is not repairable and instead is structually damaged for example, we will contribute the first £150 towards the cost of a replacement wheel. We must highlight that this fee is a contribution and not one we expect to cover the full cost of a replacement.
  3. Upto 4 Claims Per Year - You have the ability to make upto 4 claims per year, 8 claims over two years or 12 claims over the three years.
  4. £10 Excess Per Claim - In the event of making a claim, you will be liable to pay the first £10 excess towards any claim.
  5. 30 Day Claims Waiting Period - In order to combat fraudulent activity, unfortunately we have had to include an initial 30 day claims waiting period, within which you can't make a claim.

Scratch & Dent Insurance | Key Features

  1. Maximum Size Diameter of 150mm & 3mm in depth - All Scratch & Dent policies will have a maximum size diameter in which it will cover, with our policy it is 150mm/15cm in diameter.
  2. Covers incidents that are over more than one panel - providing that the incident fits the size criteria etc, this policy will still cover the damage even if it spreads over more than a single panel.
  3. Upto 6 Claims Per Year - You have the ability to make upto 6 claims per year, 12 claims over two years or 18 claims over the three years.
  4. £10 Excess Per Claim - In the event of making a claim, you will be liable to pay the first £10 excess towards any claim.
